On the Solemnity of the Holy Rosary, four novices made their vows in our church of Santa Maria Della Sanita in Naples

Entrance in procession

The sisters continue the procession to the stalls behind the main altar.

Chanting of the Veni Creator

The sisters, kneeling at the foot of the altar, ask to "be received in holy engagements in the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest," represented by our Prior General, "among the Adorers of the Royal Heart, to give their whole life to the divine service, through obedience, chastity and poverty." (from the ritual)

Monsignor, the Prior General, blesses the crosses of the future professed sisters....

... then sprinkles the black veils with holy water and incenses them

After that, each sister proceeds one after the other, kneels on the step and, with a candle in her hand, pronounces the profession of her vows

"O my God, I vow to you to live in chastity, obedience and poverty, according to the rules of the Adorers of the Royal Heart of Jesus Christ Sovereign Priest" (extract from the Ritual)

The Celebrant presents the Cross of Profession...

and imposes the black veil, which our Reverend Mother Madeleine-Marie helps to adjust

Each newly professed sister signs her engagement on the altar and receives the blessing of the Prior General.

The Choir then chants, on behalf of the new professed sisters: Hæc requies mea in sæculum sæculi; hic habitabo, quoniam elegi eam: This is my rest for ever and ever; this is where I will live, for I have chosen it. (Ps. CXIII, 14)
