Here, she shows them tatting, a simple and beautiful form of lacemaking.In addition to many hours spent with the girls throughout the day, the sisters also maintain their normal religious life with their hours of prayer, the Divine Office, time in community, and manual work, as seen here.The craft time also provides ample opportunity every day for the girls to form good friendships and talk with the sisters.The girls have fun trying and learning various artistic or handiwork skills, while growing in their appreciation of the good and beautiful.Every afternoon, the girls gather for craft and artistic activities with the sisters.Every day, the girls gather for a spiritual talk on subjects such as the life of prayer or the practice of virtue. The older girls also have talk about states in life, religious life and discernment.The girls learn to sing pieces in two or more voices, which are sung during Benediction, as well as during High Mass on the final day.Every day begins with Holy Mass, a sermon given especially for the girls, and the opportunity for confession.In Wisconsin in the United States, there are camps for girls ages 9-12 and a camp for ages 13-17, which take place at the Institute’s Sacred Heart Retreat Center. Here, the girls are happy to meet each other on the first day of camp.
