100 years of religious presence in Les Côtes — Adoratrices du Cœur Royal de Jésus-Christ Souverain Prêtre

Before the Celebration of Holy Mass, Canon Valadier, Provincial of France and Director of the House of the Eucharistic Heart, commonly known as the Côtes, addresses a word of thanks to all those who participated in the realization of this beautiful day

We were honored by the presence of Monsignor Marco Agostini, Master of Ceremonies to Pope Francis and his messenger on this occasion, as well as Reverend Father Jean-Jacques Theurillat, Episcopal Vicar, who came to represent His Excellency Bishop Felix Gmür, Bishop of Basel

Our Prior General, Monsignor Gilles Wach, celebrated a solemn Mass of Thanksgiving, sung by the Sisters...

During the sermon, Our General Prior reminds us that God has chosen this House, for a century, to be adored especially in the Blessed Sacrament

For this beautiful feast, Pope Francis granted to all participants his blessing and a plenary indulgence

Monsignor Agostini reads these two documents

Monsignor reads the letter he addressed to the Holy See to obtain this blessing and plenary indulgence as well as the response he received

Father Jean-Jacques Theurillat also says a few words on behalf of Monsignor Gmür

The first-year seminarians, who came the week before this beautiful event, follow a retreat served by the sisters, prepare the altar of repose

Above the repository lies the tomb of Father Bourquard, Founder of the Juvénat of the Fathers of the Blessed Sacrament of the Côtes, a sort of small Seminary of the Congregation

Time and nature had covered and made it totally disappear, until the sisters found it

Thanks to our benefactors, on this centenary anniversary of religious presence in the Côtes, this tomb has been restored and dignified to be blessed by our Episcopal Vicar

Canon Valadier now invites all participants to gather around an aperitif

Here lies, the Reverend Father Julien Bourquard, 1881-1946, of the Congregation of the Fathers of the Blessed Sacrament, Founder of the Juvénat of the Côtes in 1919 R.I.P.
